Chukotka will begin to develop local government as part of the association
The Chukotka Autonomous Okrug was included in the National Association of Local Government Development. It was created in May last year and is designed to combine the efforts of experts, developers of normative acts and practitioners in the field of local self-government.
According to the press service of the regional government, the association includes 66 regions of Russia. Its main tasks are the involvement of the population and representatives of local self-government in the process of implementing national projects, as well as assistance in improving legal legislation.
The association was created with the participation of the All-Russian Congress of Municipalities, the All-Russian Council of Local Self-Government and the Union of Russian Cities. It makes it possible to organize feedback between residents, the local government system and state authorities.
